I’m a toxic payment targets maximalist because it’s actually a feature that seems like it should already exist.
People have linktrees, kofi, PayPal’s, etc.
50 different links, payment addresses, etc., and bios historically have not been copy and pastable but the uri functionality is nice too, makes it more integrated, and seamless for users.
It’s very unfortunate certain iOS client devs don’t want to implement payment targets because perhaps it invalidates their prior work, or perhaps they’re pressured by the crowd not to do so.
For whatever reason they feel this is the case it’s unfortunate because they’re very smart people but unfortunately standards evolve rapidly in technology.
5 year old technology is considered outdated.
I’d like to see them add the newer standards into their clients but if they don’t that’s on them.
And I won’t tag aforementioned iOS dev(s) since they potentially have me muted.
I really hope the iOS dev(s) come around on this topic, so I could gift them encrypted, or opaque cryptocurrencies because they make a good client but their style of thinking seems like it’ll be quite a while before they come around on this matter unfortunately.

Monero could also peg, & L2, etc. to reduce data put on the blockchain.
Antminer has already tried to make a Monero ASIC, and was detected, & somewhat mitigated but you are free to try your option as well.

As far as I’m aware monero has a notable community, it might not be as big as Ethereum, Litecoin, etc. but I would say we have a strong, healthy, and growing community.
If you don’t accept monero’s tradeoffs I accept that, I appreciate you operating in a good faith discussion regarding this matter.

See if resetting your index and search relays help. Also check how many relays you are connecting. If it is too low, Tor is not working.

Monero Nostr clients already exist.
The main issue is there’s just a supply, & demand issue for the monero community.
For some reason Monero people prefer other platforms besides Nostr.
Monero, however is the second biggest community on here despite that.
At the very least we deserve acknowledgment, and I feel like payment targets is a fine medium.
The zaps are the native experience while enabling people to transmit value how they want.
It will get to the point where different tipping/zapping standards will exist but if we want to expand to others, purple pill make orange pill go down easier then payment targets help streamers, artists, cosplayers, vtubers, of, etc. who have kofi, PayPal, Patreon join Nostr where then we can explain why BTC is better than kofi/paypal/patreon, etc.
