People often wonder at how many of the English-language writers on here are German-speakers, but you can actually recognize us by the larger vocabularies, more-complex sentence structures, tendency to patterns and poetry, philosophical bent, and allegorical/visual style.

Our English tracks more toward the style of Bronte and Dickens, than most modern English does, as German is still the language of Dichter und Denker. The style transposes across the language barrier.

I think it is interesting to observe.

Not surprising, most who call themselves “developers” are simply copy/pasting/building and don’t have any clue of WTF they’re actually doing. One of the many reasons I put Android in the rear view.

If you have to flash something to a device you just paid good money for so that it runs the way it should have right out of the box, you’re on the wrong platform.

This path does not really end. Life with God is not a project I finish once and for all, but a road I keep walking. That can feel tiring, but it can also be freeing, because I do not have to solve my whole life at once.

What matters most is today. Not “I will never fall again” or “I must already be healed,” but “today I take the next step.” Today I love, today I tell the truth, today I try again, today I let God be with me here.

This takes away the pressure to be perfect. I am not asked to be flawless, only willing to grow. The point is not spiritual perfection, but spiritual progress, however small, however unfinished.

Even when something seems over, life is not over. Even when I fall, the story keeps going. Life is still moving, and God is still at work.
