**A Martian Eclipse: Phobos Crosses the Sun**

What's that passing in front of the Sun? It looks like a moon, but it can't be Earth's Moon , because it isn't round. It's the Martian moon Phobos . The featured video was taken from the surface of Mars in 2022 by the Perseverance rover. Phobos , at 11.5 kilometers across, is 150 times smaller than Luna (our moon) in diameter, but also 50 times closer to its parent planet . In fact, Phobos is so close to Mars that it is expected to break up and crash into Mars within the next 50 million years. In the near term, the low orbit of Phobos results in more rapid solar eclipses than seen from Earth . The featured video is shown in real time -- the transit really took about 40 seconds, as shown. The videographer -- the robotic rover Perseverance (Percy) -- continues to explore Jezero Crater on Mars , searching not only for clues to the watery history of the now dry world , but evidence of ancient microbial life .

I respectfully disagree regarding Ethereum, and litecoin but I’m less familiar with their technology.
So I’m not really willing to defend them.
It’s unfortunate that you see other utility coin projects in a poor manner but as long as you’re willing to respect monero for having the same values as og bitcoin then I can respect it.
We’re about freeing the individual from centralized control as well.
Hence why we’re the second biggest community on Nostr.
Personally I’d like to see more being built to reduce conflict between the two communities.
Someone’s preferred monetary system shouldn’t be a problem in all honesty, take the money, and convert it to your preferred payment, or offer market incentives to encourage preferred payments.
That’s how I see it but a lot of people want dogmatic control over money.
Personally, I want multi-coin, and have used different coins but prefer Monero, Bitcoin, and Z-cash but I’m ok with Eth, BCH, LTC, etc.

Theres a little bookstore in town that was set up to be a place where homeless folks can come in for free coffee and a snack and chill out. No expectations, sort of like the soup kitchen i volunteer at.
It’s nice that there’s a place where people who are really in tough situations can have a little dignity.
I teach little classes there sometimes, I showed some folks how to make paracord bracelets a few weeks ago, and another time I showed some other folks how to make paper plants.
Today I taught some folks how to paint a sunset. It was cold and rainy outside and it really brought some smiles and peace that was much needed.
