I can't think of any 5 letter words and if I do, when it tells me I'm wrong, I just try the same word again to see if it made a mistake, because surely, the word I thought of can't possibly be wrong.

An interesting thing I learnt about Liquid a while ago: it's well understood now that "normally" you just swap in and out; way less hassle for a small fee. Obviously it's the "out" part that's super-important: you don't want to be left unable to retrieve "real" bitcoin, right. But did you know that if you choose to exercise your exit right, instead of use a swap service, you actually can't?
They only allow exit to whitelisted addresses!
Presumably this is the direct effect of having public entities be the quorum, held to various regulatory and similar standards/threats, (I mean it also makes stealing by non-govt entities harder, but the govt entities are the big threat here, I'd say).

Glad to see a large number of people expressing themselves over the suggestion of freezing coins.
It will not work; a Bitcoin in which that happens is basically worthless. I mean that both functionally and monetarily. Because the main thing that makes Bitcoin distinct from all the other coins is that it has no rulers.
Users and eventually hash power will leave and go elsewhere if it proves to have rulers.
And no it does not have rulers today because soft forks have somehow got activated, occasionally. In a decade there have been 4, iirc, and *crucially none of them impacted any user's existing property rights*. Just giving you more options, not 'rulers'. Still it's appropriately nearly impossible to make such changes.
While contrary to the false statement in BIP361 about 'supply changes', there is no certainty about what happens if someone gets access to those old keys. It could be a big clusterfuck, or not, but at least it won't kill the project if a viable PQ alternative exists by then.

I sometimes mistake wanting someone to be strong for evidence that they can be.
I invest in them early on hope/optimism and by the time the evidence is in that they will never grow. I’ve overcommitted to a structure where I end up carrying the both of us.
This is an issue i’m working on correcting in myself.

I just listened to the recent Professor Jiang podcast with Jack Neel where he claims bitcoin is a CIA operation and displays a total lack of understanding of the technology.
I really enjoyed the two part podcast and I found myself liking Jack and Jiang quite a lot despite holding a very different perspective.
It's best not to judge an individual exclusively on a single clip, however brilliant or stupid that clip might be. Jiang's takes are interesting and sometimes brilliant, but I think the recent attention and praise have made him far too comfortable making wild predictions based on limited data. He also contradicts himself a lot.
He says his worldview hinges upon hermetic philosophy. Given that is the case, I would like to ask him how he thinks his podcast appearances are going to impact reality.
On the same premise I would also ask him why he chooses to predict a dismal dystopian future for most of the planet.
I imagine he is deeply wounded and could use a hug, as well as a proper conversation about the reality of bitcoin as a technology.

I don't know either is more secure. I think both simplex and whitenoise are state of the art. White noise is nostr-native. Simplex is built in a similar but different, and single-purpose infrastructure than whitenoise. Whitenoise can use public nostr relays so messaging is mixed with other traffic, similar to how a vpn server anonymizes traffic.

I think the goal was to make a model that could keep learning and improving. It's not panning out that way, so with energy constraints we are learning small models make more sense now.
I do think there might be a place for large model to discover connections we might not have seen/noticed.
