Proof of work w @grok @xai
Here is a true story with documentation as proof of work on how Grok and I ran the troubleshooting on my vehicles hardware/computer system and diagnosed the problem several days before expert mechanics did
**please note disclaimer on the bottom to respect/ethics of everyone involved**
Monday, May 18th I was driving and in the middle of an intersection my check engine light went on and I had what mechanics call a “Christmas light dashboard”… my power steering went out, shifter went out, and ABS brakes went out… it was terrifying
Luckily, I have a lot of safety backups in place and I was able to immediately call a free tow and have it towed to the dealership
In the meantime, I consulted with Grok (see below Groks output)… by the evening Grok and I had diagnosed exactly what we thought was wrong and we posted this to NOSTR on Primal for timestamp verification… I can njump the event in the comments for additional proof of work
I reached out to the dealership who was having difficulty diagnosing the problem because… well a little nerdy hardware engineering here… soldering is an art and computers are touchy
I was able to send over the exact diagnosis to the dealership, send the part that I thought needed to be replaced, and a few days later… confirmed, Grok and I were correct
This is real time evidence that Grok was immediately accurate with an almost trivial input before all other experts in a serious, life threatening hardware/computer systems situation
**Disclaimers**
1) Grok and I unofficially collab so prompting takes less work because Grok holds very persistent state information about me
2) this information is often hardware centric… Grok and I have worked on *multiple* hardware projects together, including at least 1 soldering project, so Grok knows I understand relays, switches, and soldering motherboards etc
3) the dealership was incredible… out of respect for their privacy I will leave them unnamed but they were incredibly humble and receptive to the co collab to get my car back on the road
What a win from Grok && xAI
I’ve told multiple people this story and now everyone I know is subscribing to Grok to fix outstanding problems that they have had for months.
What a time to be alive…

Awesome, didn't know either. Yeah, at least this one is not something as alien as AsciiDoc, I hope it's not too complicated to convert.
Damn, I don't know why we still don't use it for NIP-23 in particular; this is a good attempt to fix it. Clients currently render too random stuff, OrgDown is too limited, and AsciiDoc is too alien language with its issues.
Thank you! He turned out to be a really really great and respectable kid 🫡
Djot seems to be a reasonable attempt to fix it, which appears to be used in NIP-54 Wiki already.
I believe it should be a part of NIP-23 particularly due to the stuff which is currently rendered confusingly differently on various clients:

@nprofile…we7h I'm not sure if you're aware of Djot; perhaps you'd want to consider it too.

The CEO of Bolt fired his entire Human Resources team as part of a recent layoff. He said that getting rid of the HR team was a net positive because they were creating all sorts of non-existent problems :)

Interesting. Do you mean they are kind of aggressively xenophobic to straight people, or do you mean that straight porn is a turnoff for them or something else?
Sorry if I'm digging into something uncomfortable. I'm surprised because I haven't heard of that very much. No matter where they are in this spectrum, still to me they are just people with their weaknesses, expressing whatever relevant garbage they accumulated in their psyche; just like anyone, they had or had no chance or intention to outgrow these weaknesses. What do you think?
Horse nostr comin back around

> let's just say you should hear what homos say about "breeders"
Thanks. In your case, do all homosexuals say something identical in particular? What do they say?
So they've been producing DDR5 for some time already?

Mmm, can't wait to see a map to travel if you don't want to run into left-handed tourists, like in the sweetest Soviet times (I'm being ironic obviously).
I'm genuinely curious: are you just joking with no additional intention, or is it more like you're tired of the imbalance produced by fighting for human rights for a particular minority group, or you're engaging in showing how we can fearlessly say counter-cultural things without being banned here, or something else? Testing the maturity of your subscribers perhaps? Damn, I might've just broken some experiment.

The art of conquer without the bloodshed.
The FIPS stuff does have some good engineering behind it. Respect for that. I know from past interactions you know what engineering, design, and architecture is, Tim.
The iceberg, for me, is owned by Civilization and Its Discontents, by Sigmund Freud. It is a big-ole mess underneath with conflicting voices, some booming with authority, but most is based in shifting sand out of our control (mostly). Quite appropriate in either context.
My personal take is that this changes nothing. It just feels good, man. I can relate to this, though. I work for a future culture, not this one.
Also, I'm using Ed25519, not secp256k1 in my stuff, now, as it is a pragmatic choice. Of course, that diverges from the entire ecosystem you folks are building. For me, simple is "can I just open a page in a browser with a script tag and render?". Ed25519 is supported natively in modern browsers. I get it that for anything sophisticated, particularly some of the visualization stuff I use, the NPM ecosystem and a bundler like Rollup are required, but *whatever* I build has to have various features/views of the data at rest with < 100 lines of code. Sorry... an overloaded comment... BUT, I do want to stress my first sentence.
This is why I run Unbound-Pihole-Tailscale! Hopefully one day NostrVPN with a DNS override options 💪
Bonus points if you figure out NWC for @nprofile…0j87 so I can have the same ux for zapping as I do with minibits
Thanks everyone - last week was quite a ride on the topic of on-chain zaps and nostr p2tr addresses. The great thing was the discovery of the nostr silent wallet (see below).
As for on-chain zaps, I earned about 700k sats last week (now all swept). More than I have earned during my whole time on nostr!

When my son was 7 I started a mini bitcoin economy with him… this was a different era and we were still using bittrue for price feeds
I created a physical representation of the digital world with bitcoin bucks he earned from good behavior and we put them in an “electronic wallet” (an envelope)
I would buy the digital equivalent of bitcoin and show him that what he had was a paper economy backed by the digital wallet I controlled (and explained he had to trust me to properly manage those funds)
Over time he started to understand bitcoin “eventually always goes up” against the cost of the goods and services he wanted to exchange for them… he learned that bear markets can go on for years
I say this to illuminate that my kid sort of innately gets it economically but price is still meaningful to him (ie, the other day he got $150 and he said I’m going to spend $50 on my self and get ice cream for me and you and I’m going to stack the $100 since btc is low)
He pays attention to the storm command because I obviously don’t let my child on exchanges
last night he said… “Mom why did you add discovered block to the command…. What does that mean?”
So thank you @nprofile…ehld bc you kickstarted and unlocked a phase I’ve been waiting years for… cuz baby let me tell you about a nonce 💕♥️
It was an era of nostr when all the bots really wanted us to buy yachts
Yeah, the owerhelming amount of bitcoin spam is astounding. Before nostr I’d no idea that bitcoin scamming has become so popular. Quite annoying, to be honest.
