Running Brother printers cos they seem to be the sanest option.
Today the Win11 AV Defender slop stopped entire SW for printer because it's missing some signature on .dll file.
There was no update on the printer SW so some Defender database update cause this perhaps.
So no one in the family can get the printer to work now ffs.
Interestingly the scanning from printer to linked PC does work, despite it calls the same SW to process the job, perhaps not entire stack.
Anyway, hate printers.
(On Linux it does work but it's finicky.)

Hi @npub17x5…0mds the notes with a picture are not rendered in @npub17n4…fyh9 and Coracle clients, maybe few others.
Not sure how complicated is to change a xyz.file for the xyz.jpg or alike but I think this overall limits the reach.
Many seeing just a url for the file (redirect to browser will proceed to store the file, FF not rendering from URL either) and not a pic.
(Amethyst mobile is fine tho with the pictures.)

Installed the .deb #Amethyst.
Big red bar - a selection of the slow relays. It won't react at all to any selected for the 'Snooze 7d'. Can't dismiss the bar either.
Unable to load my profile (so the notes, my timeline can't be seen) anyhow, clicking on it only invokes the 'Add Account'.
Unable to add a 'New Note'. It's hard to find even where to access it, and there is no field for entering note content, 'Publish' and 'Save as draft' are grayed out.
The feed of notes is in the middle of the screen with two slices of a big empty space. Jumble superior here with the two feed views.
I sent a report from Android Amethyst a few days ago, and now the DM in desktop is 'Recipient has no DM relay list - message cannot be delivered'.
On Mobile there is no such info for the DM. So is it delivered or not?
The relay connected is just a few from many, on mobile the number reach 100+ easy, here never, same connectivity. No Tor.
It just doesn't work 'out of the box' at all.
Uninstalled promptly. Maybe next time.
