Open router shows different policies for data retention ranging from "zero data retention" to "trains on your inputs" to "publishes conversations to public datasets".
You can configure it to route to zdr endpoints only. The 1st party deepseek isnt zdr so I dont use it. The model is open weights so there's plenty of other providers.

Anthropic api prices are ridiculous. Deepseek via openrouter is great for my budget/projects. The "we dont keep your data, trust me bro" providers are the only thing im not sure about
I dont think im ever going to be able to afford a better gpu the way prices are going.
