I then proceeded to ask him who setup his wallet for him and he said an advisor- my next question was do you have both seed phrases and do you know how to recover the funds - he hadn’t a clue. \n\nMy next move was to simply get him to buy 2 brand best Trezors from the usa because in South Africa you can’t trust where they come from.. \n\nSo fast forward a month or 2 he comes back from the USA with his next Trezors and his old one and asks if I can help setup. I say I can but will not touch anything - all I’ll do is talk him through it.. \n\nPlugs his old Trezor in and sees zero balance 🫤 I ask if he had a pass phrase and he remembers the guy setup something up but can’t remember it.. \n\nHe phones the guy and the guy gets all upset that he’s moving his BTC… \n\nAnyways after figuring the pass phrase out we setup the 2 Trezors - do the back ups and everything is now split because the 2 Trezors.. \n\nAll for free this!! \n\nInbetween alll of this I helped him receive BTC as he hadn’t a clue and make payments for him as he had no clue how to do it.. \n\nTime goes on and the Trezor 7 comes out which he bought in the USA and because it works with a iPhone and Bluetooth it’s easier!! So on Sunday last week we do the setup and move everything onto the next Trezor in small and larger UTXO.. \n\nCome Wednesday I get a call from someone I know from the gym who’s not a friend but someone I’ve shared coffees with and he said meet me at the coffee shop. \n\nAs soon as I get there he puts a weapon on the table pointed at me and I’m not thinking WTF? He said there are 2 people at gym who believe you’re stolen all their BTC. I’m shocked and not really sure what to do.. \n\nThe 2 people rock up and it’s the guy I’ve helped and his buddy who bought 0.16 BTC and moved it onto a Trezor. Same thing. \n\nSo the guy with the large amounts of BTC pulls out his iPhone and clicks on Trezor suite and the balance of showing zero - says I’ve stolen his BTC.. \n\nI simply ask him - have you got your mobile data on your phone - he looks at me with a blank stare… so I say - there is no way to see your balance if you can’t access the internet… \n\nBy this time the smaller BTC owner arrives and sits down as says ive stolen his BTC because his value keeps dropping and he can’t figure out why.. now this person is “smart “ I show him on his Trezor Suit that both transactions are sitting there and no transactions out.. he just bought BTC high and it’s not lower.. \n\nAnyway the bigger BTC holder now wants his BTC on a new Trezor 1 which he bought the day before from a South African reseller which I warned him against multiple times.. setups it up - remember this is all while I’ve got a gun pointed at me in public… \n\nEveryone happy so I thought.. next morning I get a call stating stating I must pay both BTC holders R1 000 000 for their losses (none of them have sold) and the bigger guy bought most his BTC at between $35k-60k) \n\nProblem being they knew my address my wife’s number plate and everything about me ….  So I had to pay a ransom of 0.17BTC… so I officially got fucked. \n\nNow another caveat.. every time I saw these guys at gym and the price was dropping they were saying should we sell and I’d say no - not smart but guess lesson learnt… \n\nLet people do their own BTC stuff so they can fuck it up themselves… \n\n#btc #asknostr #btcstories #bitcoin #BTC #timechain #digitalcurrency #HODL #satoshi #mining #lightningnetwork "}
