Phone.&#xA;Eating? YouTube.&#xA;Driving? Podcast.&#xA;Walking? Headphones.&#xA;Feeling something uncomfortable? Better find something productive to do.&#xA;&#xA;We’ve basically engineered a world where you can go years without having a quiet conversation with yourself.&#xA;&#xA;And then wonder why you don’t know what you want.&#xA;&#xA;Humans lived for thousands of years with long stretches of NOTHING happening.&#xA;&#xA;Walking across land. Watching weather roll in. Sitting around fire. Looking at each other (in the eyes). Listening to animals.&#xA;&#xA;Letting the mind wander without immediately feeding it another dopamine snack.&#xA;&#xA;Maybe boredom is actually cool. &#xA;&#xA;MAYBE it was where we actually heard ourselves.&#xA;&#xA;So ask yourself something beyond your next go go go spasm:&#xA;&#xA;What pace do I ACTUALLY want my life to move at?&#xA;&#xA;Because you can build an “impressive” life that your nervous system secretly wants to escape from.&#xA;&#xA;I’d rather have less noise, more sun, more birdsong, gentle meals, deeper conversations, bare feet, ridiculous laughter, meaningful work and enough empty space to remember I’m a human being.&#xA;&#xA;Not a fucking productivity machine.</html></oembed>
