Worked on code bases that started at Netscape in 1990s. Hundreds of thousands of users. I would not hesitate to use codex agents and copilot etc on feature and rewrites. The LLMs are better coders than all of us. That will only magnify things going forward. I don’t even use an IDE any more. I design systems and review code. Everyone is an architect now.
