If your ideas can't exist in the light then they shouldn't exist at all. You don't have to listen to the arguments against you, but I think you should at least be willing to make them public if you won't keep them to yourself. To clarify, something like a password is fine to keep private because it has no extrinsic meaning; it doesn't say anything ABOUT anything, and that's by design. But even something as mundane as a shopping list is better off on a public ledger than a private note app. (Assuming it doesn't de-anonymize the shopper.)
