A terrorist is now anyone who doesn't agree with authority. The terrorism watchlists have been a clusterfuck since 9/11. False positives all over the place, impossible to get your name cleared if it lands on one, zero due process but plenty of harassment. It's not just a Trump problem either, the Biden administration did the same bullshit as well, targetting imaginary domestic terrorists. They didn't have AI doing it though, the reach of this just expanded exponentially. Expressing a controversial opinion doesn't equate to being a terrorist. If someone is actively trying to recruit people or raise funds for a known terrorist organization, that's different. And anonymity is going to be harder and harder to achieve with AI tools doxxing people, connecting dots that no human could of. But I agree with you people should at least try to stay anon, but i don't agree they should be punished for expressing opinions under their real identity. The endpoint is suppressing speech because people will self censor.
