They heard us speaking Swiss-German and asked where we’re from. Fast forward, we got around to talking about travel, and how we went to Japan earlier this year. The elderly woman made this disgusted noise I can’t describe and said she’ll never go there because her grandfather died in Pearl Harbour. I guess some people don’t grow out of their hatred of an entire people who most likely never had a hand in killing her Grandpa.
