In the West, Goodness is just maximized ontology, and we call that the Monad, or God the Father. We progress insofar as we participate in those goods. In the East, Goodness is more like a default neutral stasis, and any ontology that arises is an impediment to that default Good. If you eliminate phenomena, all you’re left with is Goodness.
