I used to like his takes a lot, but his main objection to BIP110 is that if a contentious soft fork activates due to the game’s theoretical asymmetry, it could set a precedent where other BIPs ranging from beneficial to largely irrelevant (such as Drivechains) might also be activated by coercing miners.</html></oembed>
