We have services running in web browsers and background apps that shut in iOS and alike. This is architecturally poor, leading to a bad user experience with services saying they are NWC compatible when they're not. My guess is currently most people aren't using NWC and are using custodial solutions, because if they were, you know.how broken it all is. Running an always on node is the way to do, and phones just aren't there yet.
