(the oracle within activating, I guess). I hadn&#39;t checked in a while, and I found myself mentally bracing—imagining staying calm, grounded, and collected in total acceptance if I were to discover it was all gone.&#xA;&#xA;&#34;Fuck it. It is what it is. Just breathe. Life continues. It&#39;s not the first time. You&#39;re already at zero anyway.&#34;&#xA;&#xA;I&#39;d started to #studybitcoin, and it was overwhelming. I was taking it one giant elephant bite at a time.&#xA;&#xA;I&#39;d taken the step to move off exchanges and was researching hardware wallets...&#xA;&#xA;...then life became hell. I entered the worst year of my life, and I&#39;ve just been doing my best to recover from the shell shock. Still am.&#xA;&#xA;...I never got to the hardware wallet part. I did buy a device—not a Coldcard—but I ultimately chickened out because of the concerns people were raising about it. I even hung out with a cryptographer who had worked on that team and shared my reasoning for not moving to it. He seemed to nod in agreement. I also didn&#39;t buy a Coldcard, despite how heavily it was marketed, because of the concerns some folks were expressing.&#xA;&#xA;That was all part of my DYOR.&#xA;&#xA;Now I&#39;m kind of in freeze mode. I really don&#39;t know what to do, but I feel like I should do something. I&#39;m just not sure what. Kind of immobilized.&#xA; &#xA;&#xA;</html></oembed>
