Unless you issue a takedown request, you can usually find an archive of tweets for most accounts (unless their account was locked down) over on the Internet Archive.
I'm not a fan of that because I advocate for privacy and the right to decide what services obtain and use your data, but in cases like this, it might be pretty helpful until/unless he issues such a request to them.
