What's weird about making agreements about the distribution of stuff you made is that you can end up reaching very different agreements with different people, for reasons that are hard to explain, and if the other guy finds out, he might feel unfairly treated. I can see how wages can end up being so different for similar positions in the same business. Without hard and fast rules, conversations about the same thing can take very different directions, depending on the person and their starting point.
