Someone suggested a forum (like Discourse) instead of a chat room, since it would be searchable and easy to reference. It makes sense and would bring more reliability to project support. I'd still need help from moderators, just like with a Matrix room, but a forum would let people find answers without having to ask. I'm personally drawn to this idea. What about you?
A while back, I created some Matrix rooms for my projects. I ended up putting them aside because, with all the issues I was already handling, it felt like too much pressure to keep up with.
But I now understand this isn't just another task to maintain. It allows people who already know projects like Fedilab to support others without me having to be there for every single question.
What's your opinion if I recreate the rooms?
