I was watching a bunch of pieces of his films while talking about them, & though I can pick them apart artistically or notice the shallowness of the perspective, I can't lie, I find some of his films quite enjoyable.

I've found his newer films less & less enjoyable over the years, but it's not like he can't competently put together a film that engages your attention. He certainly can!

I do think his work is starting to collapse under the weight of his supposed "genius" though.
