I need to shore this stuff up, I'd like to implement some form of #2 as well, but without losing the simplicity that is the "S" in Slufi.
And then another issue with #1 is that it then depends on the node announcing itself to A and also B, so that C gets the message from both A and B - unless A and B are sharing DSRs but in an untrusted way such that they double-check each others' DSRs... Which makes the DoS story a lot more complex...
There's some thinking to do here...
