Popped in to see my parents. Their new neighbours have cut down the crab apple tree in their garden. This made my Mum very sad because it was beautiful, but also means they can now see right into the neighbour's bathroom window which doesn't have a blind. So now my parents don't dare go downstairs around ten at night when the neighbours go to bed and turn the bathroom light on, for fear of seeing more of them than they want to. In spite of being mostly Belgian and half Welsh respectively they are far too English to know how to tell the neighbour this. So if you've recently moved to Exeter and cut down a crab apple tree maybe consider getting some bathroom blinds so my poor parents can use their living room after dark.
