"So today, at school I (17) went to the bathroom not exactly to use it but just to readjust my outfit and touch up my makeup and whatnot and I saw that my friend was in there too which was nice. We sat in there talking for a while, I vaped a little bit (this was actually my first time doing any nicotine of the sorts and I'm pretty sure I did it wrong so whatever). One of our other friends came in and we were all just talking. Class ended and the bathroom started getting a little crowded so I just left and I thought that would be the extent of the experience.
6th hour rolled around and the friend that I first saw in the bathroom told me that this girl who came in and saw me leave went up to her and asked my friend, "Is that a [misgender]?" My friend told her that no, I'm not that, and the girl asks my friend if I'm on E... My friend says that's none of her business... apparently the girl said that she doesn't feel safe with me using the bathroom that I'm supposed to use.
I was literally not trying to offend anyone using the girls bathroom like I've been doing :/ I'm not trying to be a pervert or a weirdo, I've never even thought about any of that stuff!!!! I'm just a danger for merely the existing. I already walk past enough people in school and hear a "oh hell naw" behind my back, I can't fit in any where.
The thing is that I know for a fact that in my state, let alone at my school, that they support gender affirming stuff, we literally have an LGBTQ+ club.. I literally was not trying to scare anyone using the bathroom that I'm supposed to :( I've been told I pass relatively well but recent events say otherwise
I'm literally so excited for the day I can post on here with the flair "Today I learned" and it be good news."
