To my knowledge, Catholicism and the orthodox churches are Christian. The high ceremony they employ isn’t part of salvation, but part of desire and obedience…similar to how works don’t save — we are saved by faith alone…while in the same breath true faith by its nature produces works…Jesus saves. The stuff we do doesn’t. That’s the definition of Christianity.
