Official BCH Merchant Bounty Program Rules
To ensure everyone is on the same page, here are the official rules and requirements to participate as a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Field Auditor and earn the 1 BCH bounty per visit:
1) The "First-to-Audit" Rule applies. Check recent BCHNostr submissions and BCHLocal before traveling. The bounty is strictly awarded to the first auditor who submits a verified review for a specific physical location. Duplicate visits will not be rewarded.
2) You must travel in person to the physical store location during their regular operating hours.
3) You must film a continuous video of your payment attempt. The video must clearly show the storefront and location of the business so we can verify it matches the listing.
4) You do not need to film anyone's face. Focus the camera on the storefront, the POS terminal or phone screen, and the transaction process.
5) You must possess a smartphone with a camera, a working BCH wallet with enough balance to make a purchase, and an active BCHNostr public key/account to publish the proof.
6) Merchant Verification & Blockchain Proof: The merchant must already be verified on the Paytaca Map or have a BCHLocal listing so that transactions can be properly verified. Additionally, you may be asked to provide the specific transaction ID (TXID) on the BCH blockchain for additional verification in some cases.
7) Detailed Review Requirement: When uploading your video proof to your main BCHNostr timeline, you must include a written review of your visit. This review must specifically detail what went well during the transaction, what didn't go well or could be improved, and your personal thoughts on the item or service you purchased.
8) If the transaction is successful and the merchant is already listed on the Paytaca Map, you only need to submit your video proof and written review to BCHNostr to claim your bounty.
9) If your purchase transaction fails (e.g., they forgot how to use the wallet, the system is down, or they refuse it), you must have the merchant sign up for BCHPAY.Cash and complete the BCHLocal.com verification process, alongside posting your video proof and review, to receive the bounty.
10) If the merchant is NOT listed on Paytaca Maps, you must act as an onboarding agent. Have them complete the verification process on BCHPAY.Cash and BCHLocal.com, and post your video proof and review, to receive the bounty.
11) Zero Tolerance for Scamming: Any attempt to defraud the program will result in an immediate and permanent ban. This includes, but is not limited to, submitting fake or edited videos, spoofing GPS locations, colluding with merchants for fake transactions, or submitting false onboarding information.
12) Rewards are Discretionary, Subject to Change and Not Guaranteed: This bounty program is a voluntary initiative. The issuing of any reward is entirely at our sole discretion and is never guaranteed. We reserve the right to deny payment for any submission that we deem suspicious, incomplete, low-quality, or otherwise out of alignment with the spirit of the program, even if the basic requirements appear to have been met.
