If you hand a stranger the keys to your house, you’re not being generous. You’re surrendering control of everything inside it, everyone who sleeps there, and every decision made under that roof. Now imagine that stranger has a history of deciding when the alarm goes off at 3am.
That’s what handing a foreign government backdoor access to American systems, American intelligence, and American political will actually looks like. It isn’t diplomacy. It isn’t an alliance. It has a different name.
No foreign government has an inherent right to the levers of American power, American treasure, or American blood. Not one. The moment we normalize that idea (which we have), we have stopped being a republic (which we also have) and started being a proxy.
The is manufactured urgency. Appeals to loyalty and shared values. And then, quietly, our children are on a plane to a conflict that serves someone else’s map, someone else’s ambitions, someone else’s survival calculus.
Israel is not America. Its security interests are not our security interests by default. We can wish a people well without writing them a blank check drawn on the lives of our kids.
Stay sovereign. Stay awake. Question who is steering and whose destination is on the map.
The American people are not a resource to be deployed. Not for any flag but our own.
