I saw a screen shot of a social media post, where someone posted side by side a realistic painting and a van Gogh painting of the same street side cafe, as if that was a gotcha on how "over hyped" van Gogh is. And I'm like, naw, the van Gogh is more expressive. It tells us a story. There's humanity in it.
