i think i get banned for insulting people
but i think when people knowingly post fraudulent claims they deserve to be insulted
i am insulted by them lying and trying to trick me and others
if someone is not arguing in good faith i don't owe it to them to be civil
the problem is that lies cannot be countered with truth. lies can only be countered with more lies or insults or violence. we are forbidden from using violence and insults so we are practically forced into lying if we want to achieve anything.
but if we lie to defeat the liars - we just become them.
laws of any kind in general exist to protect the corrupt from the vigilantes. most people are corrupt so they like laws and "community guidelines" ... then everybody just goes to whatever platform has the most users
anybody not on NOSTR is part of the problem
