Bats consume a lot of annoying insects. We had smutty nose disease here- it’s a cold loving fungus on nose, ears and wings of sleeping bats, they wake up in winter from the irritation and starve, killing millions across North America. I have some now though they dive bomb the pool to get a drink in the early night.
