Our flight from Dar es Salaam to Selous had just landed and we were seated at a table beside the makeshift runway enjoying a welcome drink when a herd of dogs came from the trees and kept coming. We counted over 40. Our guide was excited by such a large group moving across their area. They mooched around as we watched and then drifted off as the sun set.
