apparently, the initial reports were not accurate as they were indeed heading south towards #yemen where they got threatened THEN turned around and went north via Suez canal. this can cause real problems to Saudi (and Asia) because Suez canal can handle certain tanker sizes. otherwise, they'd get partially offloaded via #SuMed pipeline, go through the canal, then reloaded again. in addition to the longer route. all this adds time and costs for the shipment from #Saudi to #Asia
