“When Your Heart Is Tired, God Still Holds You”

Bible Verse:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

There are days when the pain in your heart becomes so deep that you no longer know how to explain it to anyone

You wake up smiling in front of people, but inside, your soul feels exhausted
You pray, but sometimes the words refuse to come out
You try to stay strong for everyone else while secretly fighting battles nobody sees

Sometimes the weight of life becomes unbearable

The disappointments
The betrayal
The loneliness
The silent tears at night
The prayers you thought God would answer immediately
The heartbreaks nobody knows about
The fear of tomorrow
The struggle to keep believing when everything around you feels broken

But child of God, hear this today
God has not forgotten you

Every tear you cry matters to Him
Every silent pain in your chest matters to Him
Every sleepless night, every moment of anxiety, every hidden wound — God sees it all

There are people who only love you when you are useful to them
People who walk away when your life becomes difficult
People who promise forever but disappear when storms arrive

But Jesus is not like man

When others leave, He stays
When your strength fails, He carries you
When your heart breaks, He draws closer

The Bible says “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted”
That means God moves nearest to people whose hearts are wounded

Sometimes we think God only loves us when we are spiritually strong
But some of the most beautiful moments with God happen when we are completely broken before Him

The woman with the issue of blood came to Jesus broken
Blind Bartimaeus cried out broken
The prodigal son returned home broken
And every single time, Jesus responded with mercy, compassion, healing, and love

God is not waiting for you to become perfect before He embraces you
He wants you to come exactly as you are
Tired
Wounded
Confused
Crying
Weak
And even struggling in your faith

Sometimes the strongest prayer is not a long sermon
Sometimes all heaven hears is
“Lord… help me”

And that prayer alone can shake heaven

Maybe lately you have been asking
“God, where are You?”
“Why is life hurting this much?”
“Why do I feel alone?”
“Why does it seem like evil keeps winning?”

But what you cannot see is that even in your darkest season, God is still protecting you from things you know nothing about

There were accidents He prevented
Battles He fought for you silently
Doors He closed to save you
Traps of the enemy He did not allow to destroy you

The devil wants your pain to make you bitter
But God wants your pain to bring you closer to Him

Do not allow suffering to make you stop praying
Do not allow disappointment to make you stop trusting God
Do not allow people’s cruelty to make you lose your gentle heart

The enemy attacks hardest when breakthrough is near

You may feel weak today, but your story is not over
God still has plans for your life
There is still purpose inside you
There is still healing coming
There is still joy that will return again

One day the tears you cry now will become a testimony
One day God will heal you so deeply that the very thing that almost destroyed you will become proof of His mercy

And when that day comes, you will look back and realize
God never left you for one second

Prayer

Heavenly Father, my heart is tired and sometimes I do not even know what to pray anymore
Please hold me when I feel weak
Heal the hidden pain inside me that nobody else understands
Wipe away my tears and give me strength to keep moving forward
When fear tries to consume me, remind me that You are near
When loneliness surrounds me, let me feel Your presence
Help me not to give up even when life becomes heavy
Teach me to trust You through every storm
In Jesus’ name, Amen
