What's your definition of computer innovation?

Hardware: GAAFET is just starting to land, 3D NAND emerged around 2013, EUV landed in around 2018...

Software: C++ (bad old days) -> Java (bad but memory safe) -> NodeJS (async, memory safe) -> Golang (memory safe without an external VM) -> Rust (memory safe C++ - more or less)

That's a definite progression, and at this point any new language needs to be memory safe to be taken seriously...

Algorithms: Google Pagerank -> ChatGPT, et al

Protocols: Forums -> Digg / Reddit -> Twitter -> Fediverse

I see progression all around...
