There is a relatively simple argument that, in order to maintain a 3% growth rate forever, most economic value must become virtual. There just isn't enough stuff on the planet to hold such value. Consequently, the *relative* price of physical things goes to zero.
We are seeing this now. How much of our household budget is spending on things virtual? Internet access, streaming, ebooks, games, bitcoin, NFTs (ha!), LLM access, apps, &c.
