My operating budget for elementary for the past few years has been about $75k USD. That includes my total salary which is my only source of income, plus hosting costs, overhead costs like payroll accounting and tax prep, hardware costs and what little I can spare for upstream projects and community sponsorships. Where I live this puts me under the poverty line. And unfortunately my expenses keep going up with healthcare credits gone and rents rising. I’ve been dipping into savings a lot
