Archetypes Of The Left : The Hatchling

Yeah, I avoid these people to save myself the hassle of 50 tweets to explain why their single one is wrong.
The hatchling doesn’t know, doesn’t care, doesn’t care to know.
Isn't this is the Socratic method debating tactic? They get you to define everything and they critique your responses.
This is exactly how i feel explaining things to normies. Worst part in the end....they accept it....but they just dont care.
Selective naivety is the same as tactical libertarianism. These are just techniques employed by fundamentally dishonest people who do not care for real debate. The moment somebody tries that on you, just disengage and move on. They're not worth the time or effort.
An alternate name for this is the Alien Ambassador. They are role-playing as an ambassador from an advanced alien species that just arrived on Earth yesterday. They want to learn and understand current events but they (pretend to have) no knowledge of history, current events, or even normal human relationships, and you have to explain it all to them. It fits better for some, because a lot of them believe in Star Trek versions of aliens which are smarter and societally superior to mere humans (in their minds) and they act like it is so.
The hatchling represents the most quintessential progressive archetype and speaks volumes about a person's character. It's the full affirmation of every distracting aspect of the 'current thing', where the current thing and its further maintainance is all that matters. It's defensive ignorance.
Another trait of the hatchling is to try and make you define the indefinable. I'm sure we have all encountered sanctimonious wankers who will say things like, "English culture? What is that? I don't know what you mean. Give me a specific definition of what constitutes 'English culture' or 'Englishness'?" This of course is next to impossible as culture is not easily definable in words, and indeed attempts to do so only trivialises it (which is exactly what the hatchling wants you to do). A culture, like music or art, is ethereal, you instinctively know it when you see it, but you can't neccessarily quantify it.
I'm guessing the "rational man" archetype is going to be the one who claims to have a peer reviewed study to back up every fascet of their world view.
I once argued with some hardcore leftist, who was the girlfriend of a friend of mine.
She fell into the "rational man" muh peer reviewed study category.
She actually argued infront of her boyfriend that she would be more likely to be raped or murdered by him, than if she was to go hang around a rough diverse part of town, at night, dressed in a miniskirt lol. Because apparently her peer reviewed studies defy common sense.
When I informed her that those studies are skewed because of diversity, and that if it was broken down into racial categories and per capita, that she'd be safer with her push over white boyfriend than she would on a street corner, of course that made me the evil racist science denier for recognising reality.
