Some people never learn new things, believing they already know better and everyone who says that they're wrong must be delusional or incompetent. As I wrote, this wasn't our opinion but something we could prove where the stakes were literally the cost of what we put into the products.
It's the same with LLM usage, right now. There are those who don't believe senior developers when we say that yes - really - there are benefits to using LLM aids.
