"content": "Dealing with Depressed Friends 🤍 \n\nThis is something that has occupied my thoughts for a long time and continues to do so whenever I am confronted with it.\nI know what it is like to be depressed because I have experienced it myself. Fortunately, that was a long time ago. I like to think that this allows me to empathize with the situation to some extent. So a lack of understanding is not the issue.\nThe question I keep coming back to is: To what extent should we, as friends, make allowances for depression and take it into account when dealing with the behaviors a depressed person may display? How much patience and understanding is healthy and appropriate? When is it important to set boundaries? And to what extent can I still expect a depressed person to behave like a responsible adult?\n\nWhat are your thoughts and experiences on this?\nhttps://blossom.primal.net/f9ac2e70734271f51cfc49f1d2b5dfe72020adab37539608d7171fb2e213e315.jpg",
