Cara (nprofile…msjp) after implementing most of the SNK-side PD state machine incl VDMs, my main issues stemmed from the timing and retry behavior of the first Source Capabilities message(s) that i have to send. this has to be done exactly right, and devices behave very differently in terms of how tolerant they are or how long they need to boot and respond (or don't respond anymore if they don't like a detail).
