"content": "Good morning. 🦆🦆🦆\n\n4 May 2025\n\nI got an update on Ben yesterday. The vet called and confirmed what I already suspected—it’s lymphoma. Since last Thursday, I’ve been giving him Prednisone and gabapentin, hoping to ease his discomfort. After some thought, we decided to try Laverdia, a newer oral treatment approved for dogs. It’s a less aggressive option compared to chemotherapy, and we’re hoping it gives him more good days.\n\nEarly this morning, just after four, Ben woke my wife by pacing around the room, and she woke me. I got up, let him and Charlie outside, then dozed off in my chair after bringing them back in. At 5:30, they both woke me again, staring me down—clearly ready for another trip outside. So, rinse and repeat. It’s all good.
