The greatest problem of classical #philosophy is that it’s the ground truth of and ultra-hierarchical society based on absolute ownership of other people.
Tech bros reading Marcus Aurelius and Zeno of Citium, are as isolated from the average human’s life today, as were the free men of Athens and the nobility of Rome.
They would love to be the philosopher kings of Plato. But their ’#meritocracy’ requires the same kind of brutal slave/ownership society, because someone has to call what merit is.
