I agree with that view. I also think "AI" (LLMs, world models, etc.) have their uses, if guided properly and justly, and when optimized for low-energy local use. But I'm still a fierce opponent of generative AI, because it kills human motivation to create, and the generic look of gen-AI images makes me depressed, also because people using those convey the message that they'd rather use remixed stolen art for free than pay for humans creating art.
