I'm half expecting someone to come out of the woodwork to tell me that their $7000 Sausage King smoker/grill hybrid is great actually.

And I have no doubt. But I'm talking about the average barbecue experience. I've been stacking coal for an entire week here and - while it's been great fun - the food itself kind of sucks.
