One of my brothers is getting married soon and asked me to photograph some childhood pictures of him from our family album. And that’s when I came across this photo of my mother and me.

With a happy little grin on my face, I’m lying on the hood of our yellow car, which was already almost a vintage car back then, while my hippie mother changes my cloth diaper. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, during a road trip through France.
The French supermarket bag in the background is proof of the era. A time when those bags were handed out freely and seemingly by the thousands at the checkout.
