Like just dig a single big hole and get rid of all the other landfills.... Ya'll just literally dumping shit anyways. Dig a 5 mile deep and just stuff it with trash.
Old mineshafts. Stuff em and seal them off. Probably would reduce the effects when they eventually collapse.
The biggest active mine is over 2-3 miles deep it is possible.
