you are absolutely right!! Admittedly i wasnt intending to frame it causally like that, and 100% agree that if we'd collectively acted to protect Black women and children that it would never have reached white bodies, and thats largely where my frustration/lack of forgiveness for that group is coming from. They only cared when they thought it was just affecting white people and STILL do not care about Black suffering and oppression, and until they make the connection you identified, the amount of shame I feel for not taking them seriously is limited at best
