i listened to a few books with kokoro. it's fast enough to hit realtime on cpu, but you get the voices that you get.
fortunately kokoro will let you use the foreign voices in english--they have an accent--so you get a little more voices that way.
there's sparkvox i used through comfy once but its kind of irrelevant now i think
