By the end of a phone tree encounter, I'm usually ready to start burning things down.
Violence has been pondered and accepted at that point. 😂.
There is a small part of me that understands why a large corporation would have one, because you want to make sure somebody calling in gets to the correct department, but they seem to be making phone trees more and more antagonistic. And here I was sitting with a down circuit with no reason, and we thought it was a bill problem. So I'm trying to reach somebody to figure out whether it's a bill problem, only to get told that I need to email some AI fucking agent. 😑 And I couldn't get out of that loop without hanging up and going through yet another phone tree to try to reach a human being.
