GrapheneOS has external security assessments. Play Integrity API device and strong integrity levels do not have any real security requirements in practice. Both permit devices with no security patches for over 8 years and definitely don't require any serious security auditing. GrapheneOS code is far more heavily reviewed and it's far more secure than any OS the Play Integrity API allows. The vast majority of apps work fine on GrapheneOS regardless.
